Adaaran "Select Hudhuranfushi" is a resort island located close to the International Airport offering good value for money . Adaaran "Select" Hudhuranfushi was opened in 2007 under the Adaaran Group management, after substantial upgrading to the island formerly known as Lhohifushi.
The term "Hudhuranfushi" means white gold island, and it is easy to see why the new management renamed this island as Adaaran " Select" Hudhurunfushi.
The island is a large in comparison to other resort islands and is naturally endowed with good vegetation and thereby providing privacy between the rooms . The island has a large lagoon which is an excellent playground for those oriented towards water sports .
Addaran "Select" Hudhurunfushi could be said to be an all round resort located close to the Airport and Male', making it an excellent option if you would like to mix Business with pleasure or leave on a night flight with transfer going late into the night.
The island is also well known for the surf point named after it the " Lohis" ( from it's old name of Lhohifushi). The surf literally breaks on the island on it's southeastern side, and probably one of the reasons why this resort does not have an off season. Since the best waves occur from May to October.
At Adaaran "select" Hudhurunfushi, one can never run out of activities to do. Tennis, Badminton, Squash or a workout at the fully equipped modern Gymnasium is all in a days play at Adaaran "Select" Hudhurunfushi.
